The circumambulation of Mount Kailash, or the Mount Kailash Kora as it is called, is the highlight of this pilgrimage. It is not just a trek, but a pradakshina of Lord Shiva himself. You can traverse grasslands, small river streams, and patches of rock on this trek. Though much of the trek terrain is level and flat, there are some patches which are steep and difficult to traverse. You can pass through the highest point of this trek at Dolma La Pass. View the footprints of Milarepa, the ancient mystic saint of Tibetan Buddhism. You can drop some belongings of yours at Shiva Sthal as a symbol to leave this life. Gauri Kund is a lake you can only view from a distance during the course of this trek.

You can view the Milky Way Galaxy in the night sky due to the unpolluted atmosphere and clear air quality. Meditate for some time on the shores of Lake Mansarovar and feel the inner peace within you. Today you will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and embark on this Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Our tour representatives will greet you at the airport and escort you to the pre-booked hotel in Kathmandu. After completing the check-in formalities, you can spend the rest of the day in the hotel and have an overnight stay.

Today we will go for sightseeing in Kathmandu and visit some famous temples.
We will have an early breakfast and then visit Pashupatinath Temple. Here, we will be in time to participate in the morning aarti. Pashupatinath Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest temples in the entire South East Asia.
After having darshan at the temple, visit Jal Narayan Vishnu Temple, which is also known as Budhanilkantha Temple. The idol of Lord Vishnu is in a sleeping position in the midst of a sacred pool of water.
Then visit Guhyeshwari Mata Shaktipeeth Temple. This is a Shaktipeeth temple dedicated to Devi Sati. The temple is located on the banks of the Bagmati River in Kathmandu, and is located near Pashupatinath Temple.
After this sightseeing in Kathmandu, return to the hotel and have breakfast. Then we will check out from the hotel and reach the domestic airport in Kathmandu. Here you will board the flight to Nepalganj. After a one-hour flight, we will arrive at Nepalganj Airport. We will drive to the hotel pre-booked in Nepalganj for this particular trip. You will join other tourists who drove from Lucknow to Nepalganj.
In the evening, you will attend the briefing session with the group. In this briefing session, the Kasi-Lashmanarovar Yatra tour guide experts will instruct the entire group about the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra trip. They will share their experiences and answer the queries of the group members. Then have dinner and overnight stay in Nepalganj.

Wake up early in the morning and have an early breakfast. Then reach Nepalganj Airport and board the earliest flight to Simikot. The duration of the flight is 45 minutes. On arriving at Simikot Airport, board the helicopter to Hilsa. Complete all the immigration formalities and cross over to the China side. A bus will be waiting for you, and you can board this bus and reach Purang. This will be a drive of around 1 hour and covers 25 kms. We will transfer you to the hotel in Purang, and you can have dinner and an overnight stay.

Today, you will get to acclimatize in Purang. You can just rest in the hotel or explore the nearby market and take short walks. You can shop for gloves, walking sticks, caps, shoes, water bottles, fruits, and other items. Meals will be served in the hotel, and you can stay here for the night.

Today you will have early breakfast and board the bus to Lake Mansarovar. After a one-and-a-half-hour drive, you will view Rakshas Taal, which is also known as the Lake of Demons. You can view Mount Kailash in the distance. You can halt at Rakshas Taal for some time and take pictures of the beautiful scenery and mountains. Then drive onwards and reach the guest house near Lake Mansarovar.
Lake Mansarovar is one of the highest freshwater lakes in the world. The lake is said to have originated out of the mind of Lord Brahma, and therefore it is named as Mansarovar Lake. The lake is immensely holy for Hindus, Jains, and Buddhists. The Chinese government has banned taking a dip in the lake. So you can only take water from the holy lake in a bottle and take it back home as a souvenir.
You can walk along the shores of Lake Mansarovar and view the beautiful scenic lake with your own eyes. Do puja near the lake and watch the amazing landscapes. Spend some time meditating near the lake and experience the calmness in the atmosphere. You can do parikrama of Lake Mansarovar by bus and view Mount Kailash at different angles. You will be served meals in the guest house. At night, you can enjoy the views of the stars in the night sky. Due to unpolluted air, the skies over Mansarovar Lake are absolutely clear and great for stargazing. You can view the Milky Way Galaxy from Lake Mansarovar.

Wake up early and view the beauty of Lake Mansarovar at dawn. You can catch a glimpse of Mount Kailash in the distance in the golden rays of the sun. You can do morning rituals at the shores of Lake Mansarovar. The water of Lake Mansarovar is freezing cold, but dip your hands and feel the cold. You can take some water of Lake Mansarovar back to the guest house and use it for a holy bath. Take some time to meditate in the early morning hours, and you will experience a divine feeling of peace and tranquillity.
Then join your group and take the bus to Darchen. This is a small town near the southern foot of Mount Kailash. Check into the hotel in Darchen and spend the rest of the day getting acclimatized. Dinner will be served in the hotel, and you can stay here for the night.

Wake up early morning and drive to Yam Dwar. This is the real starting point of your Mount Kailash Kora. Here you will meet the pony operators and porters. Those who want to go by pony ride can take the pony. You can trek on foot and do the parikrama of Mount Kailash. This is a trek of 12 kms and takes around 5-6 hours, depending on your speed and halts. You will pass through snow-covered fields, grasslands, and river streams on this trek.
The black face of Mount Kailash will be visible to you as you come nearer to Dirapuk. Take photographs and selfies here and take time to pray to the holy mountain. Then stay in the guest house/ camp/ lodge at Dirapuk.
You can consult your tour guide and go on a short 3 km trek to get the Charan Sparsh of Mount Kailash. Although this is not part of the package, you can go on this trek if the weather conditions are suitable and you have the energy to do this trek. The distance is just 3 kms but it is a tough trek and takes around 2 hours for one side trek. Do this trek only if you feel energetic.
Note: The Mount Kailash Kora is optional. You can take pony rides and do the parikrama of Mount Kailash. But those who do not want to do parikrama can return from Yam Dwar and stay at Darchen. Mount Kailash is also visible from Darchen, and you can do small puja rituals from Darchen. We will make available the meals and accommodation at Darchen.

Distance Covered: Drive for 35 kms + 13 km trek

Wake up at dawn and view the glowing summit of Mount Kailash in the first rays of the rising sun. Take photographs and selfies and take them back as memories of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. After breakfast, start the trek to Zuthulpuk, which is 22 km long. This is a long trek, and the terrain on which you will trek is a bit more difficult than the first day of the Kailash Kora.
You will pass through the highest point of this trek, which is Dolma La Pass at 5630m. At Dolma La Pass, you will see the footprints of the Tibetan mystic and saint Milarepa and Shiva Sthal. It is a ritual for pilgrims to leave behind a lock of hair, or any ornament or personal belonging here as a symbol of leaving a miserable life behind. Thereafter, continue this trek and reach Gauri Kund. This small lake is also called Parvati Kund. Do not attempt to go near the lake as it is very risky to do so. Only view the lake from a distance and continue on your trek. Do not stay much at Dolma La Pass and continue trekking, as it is possible that the weather will become rough and windy.
Then continue further and reach a small tea stall. Here you can have your packed lunch. Then the trek turns downhill, and you have to be careful about the loose rock and stones. Soon you will come across a level path and reach Zuthulpuk. Here stay in a lodge or fixed tent and have dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, you can explore the meditation caves and small shrines. In ancient times, Buddhist monks used to meditate in these caves and also live here. Even today, the temples here accommodate Buddhist monks and devotees.
Now start the trek for 6 kms and reach Chongdo. The vehicles will be there at Chongdo for pickup. Drive for 45 kms and reach the Nepal-China border. Cross this border and reach the immigration office. Complete the formalities and reach Hilsa helipad. Then take a helicopter flight to Simikot. Check into the hotel and then overnight stay.

Distance Covered: Trek for 6 kms, 3 hours drive to Simikot

Have an early breakfast and then arrive at the airport in Simikot. Take the flight to Nepalganj. From Nepalganj, take the connecting flight to Kathmandu. On arriving in Kathmandu, check into the hotel and have dinner and an overnight stay in Kathmandu.

This is the last and concluding day of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. After breakfast, arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Then board the scheduled flight from Kathmandu. We hope you enjoyed your yatra and had a comfortable journey with us.
