Day 1: Arrive in Prayagraj

After you arrive in Prayagraj, our tour representative will pick you up from Prayagraj Railway Station/ Prayagraj Airport. We will then drop you at the pre-booked hotel in Prayagraj. You can check into the hotel and then have a rest and refreshments. Then visit Triveni Sangam and have a holy dip in the holy waters. Triveni Sangam is the confluence of three rivers – Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati.

After the holy dip, visit Alopi Devi Temple, which is also called Alop Shankari Devi Shakti Peeth Mandir. This is a Shakti Peeth of Devi Sati, and it is believed that her right hand fell. Locals popularly call this temple by the name of Alopi Shankari Shaktipeetha. After the darshan at the temple, you can relax in the evening. Then have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Prayagraj Sightseeing + Prayagraj to Ayodhya

Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast in the hotel. Then, proceed to visit some of the popular sightseeing places in Prayagraj. We will visit

Anand Bhavan Museum: This is the original house of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. You can view many exhibits displaying the rich collection of photographs, documents, personal use items, vintage furniture, decorated rooms, and historic items.

Allahabad Fort: The Mughal Emperor Akbar built this fort in 1583, and it still stands today on the banks of the Yamuna River. The famous Akshayavata Tree is located in the fort’s premises. This is the largest fort that was built by Emperor Akbar.

Khusro Bagh: This is a huge garden-cum-burial complex in Prayagraj. There are four tombs in the complex, and all of them have the most striking Mughal architecture and intricate carvings.

Hanuman Temple: The temple is that of Lord Hanuman and is popularly called the Bade Hanuman Mandir. The amazing fact about this temple is that the idol of Lord Hanuman is in the reclining position. The temple is around 700 years old, one of the major attractions in Prayagraj.

Day 3: Arrival and Sightseeing in Ayodhya + Ayodhya to Varanasi

After an early breakfast, we will proceed to do sightseeing in Ayodhya. This is the birthplace of Lord Ram and one of the major tourist destinations of Uttar Pradesh. We will visit:

Hanuman Garhi Mandir: This is a 10th-century temple of Lord Hanuman, situated in Ayodhya. It is a customary ritual to visit this temple before visiting Ram Mandir. According to legends, Lord Hanuman stayed here after Ram arrived in Ayodhya after defeating Ravana.

Ram Mandir: This is a massive temple complex and the most famous tourist attraction in Ayodhya. Ram Mandir is situated at Ram Janmabhoomi, the birthplace of Lord Ram. Ram Mandir ranks among the most visited temples in India.

Saryu Ghat: This is a riverfront ghat situated on the banks of the Saryu River. The evening aarti on this ghat is a very famous event, and thousands participate in the aarti. Saryu Ghat is also known as Ram ki Paidi, as Lord Ram left his footprints on this ghat while bathing in the Saryu River.

After this sightseeing tour of Ayodhya, we will continue this tour and reach Varanasi. On arriving in Varanasi, check into the hotel, have dinner, and then stay overnight in Varanasi.

Day 4: Sightseeing in Varanasi + Overnight stay in Varanasi

After breakfast, proceed to do sightseeing in Varanasi. This city is the famous Kashi, one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world. Another name of Varanasi is Banaras, and it is a major pilgrimage center for Hindus. We will visit major temples in Varanasi, such as the ones shown below.

Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple: The temple deity is Lord Shiva, and he is known as Vishwanath or ‘Lord of the Universe’. Kashi Vishwanath Temple is one of the 12 Jyotirlinga temples in India. The temple is one of the most visited temples in India. According to legends, Varanasi became the first place where Lord Shiva manifested in the form of a Jyotirlinga.

Kal Bhairav Temple: The temple is one of the oldest temples in Varanasi. The main deity is Kaal Bhairava, the fierce form of Lord Shiva.

Tulsi Manas Mandir: The temple is dedicated to the poet saint Tulsidas, and it is here that he composed the Ramcharitmanas in the Hindi language.

Banaras Hindu University: This is one of the largest universities in Asia. The campus of this university is vast, and you can visit the museum, which is situated on the university’s premises.

Bharat Mata Mandir: The temple is dedicated to Bharat, or India, who is represented as a mother. There are no idols or statues in the temple, but it has a marble statue of Bharat Mata and a relief map of India.

In the evening, we will take you on a sunset boat ride in Varanasi. You can view the river ghats and temples along the banks. Then proceed to Ganga Aarti and take part in singing the aarti in praise of the River Ganga. Later, you can shop for items in the local market. Banarasi Silk sarees are famous in Varanasi. You can taste the delicious street food in Varanasi. Then return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Varanasi to Sarnath + Departure from Varanasi

After the morning breakfast, we will take you to Sarnath. This is a major Buddhist center and is a place where Gautam Buddha preached his first sermon to some disciples. In Sarnath, we will visit:

Dhamek Stupa: This is a massive stupa and is built at the very place where Buddha taught his first sermons. Dhamek Stupa is located in Deer Park. There are inscriptions on the stupa which are in Brahmi script and floral carvings from the Gupta era of ancient India.

Sarnath Archaeological Museum: One of the oldest museums in India, the Archaeological Museum at Sarnath houses the Lion Capital of Ashoka and other Buddhist relics and artefacts dating back to the 3rd century BC. The Lion Capital is the National Emblem of India.

Ashokan Pillar: The famous Ashoka Pillar is at Sarnath and is a monument of historic importance. It was built in the 3rd century and made of sandstone. It was built at the exact spot where Gautam Buddha preached his first sermon.
