Discover insights, stories, and practical guides for your spiritual journey
Embark on an unforgettable spiritual and Himalayan adventure through the sacred land of Uttarakhand with our Char Dham Yatra with Gaumukh from Haridwar.
This carefully planned journey covers the four revered Dhams—Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath—along with the extraordinary Gaumukh Glacier trek, regarded as the source area of the Bhagirathi River.
The journey begins in Haridwar and takes you through the scenic Himalayan valleys of Uttarkashi, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. Along the way, pilgrims experience sacred temples, mountain landscapes, rivers, traditional Himalayan settlements and the serenity of the high Himalayas.
The Gaumukh section adds an adventure component to the pilgrimage. The trek passes through the Gangotri National Park and requires the necessary permits; the official tourism guidance describes the route as moderate to challenging.
Morning pickup from Haridwar Railway Station / Hotel and begin your journey towards Barkot / Janki Chatti via Mussoorie. Enjoy the scenic Himalayan drive through mountain roads and beautiful valleys. Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation and relax for the evening.
After an early breakfast, proceed towards Janki Chatti and begin the pilgrimage trek to Yamunotri Dham (pony/palki available locally). Offer prayers at Yamunotri Temple and take a holy dip in the thermal springs. Return to Janki Chatti / Barkot for overnight stay.
