This Do Dham Yatra Package gives you the opportunity to visit Kedarnath and Badrinath, two of the most sacred pilgrimage sites for Hindus. Along the way, you’ll also explore significant sites on the same route. The trek to Kedarnath Dham offers adventure and scenic views of the Mandakini River. Kedarnath is India’s highest Jyotirlinga temple, while Badrinath is a revered destination, both highly significant in Hindu scriptures as places for peace and spiritual learning.
You can do puja at these dhams and participate in the grand aarti ceremony. Take holy dips in the sacred thermal hot springs near Badrinath Dham and cleanse yourself before visiting the temple. You can visit places near Badrinath, like Mana, and do sightseeing in places like Bhim Pul, Vyas Gufa, etc. Places that you can visit near Kedarnath Dham are the Meditation Caves, Bheem Shila, and Adi Shankaracharya Statue.
The Do Dham Yatra Package offers you more than just sightseeing and darshan. You can come to experience the divine spiritualism that is present in the temples of Uttarakhand. You can feel this in places like Narsingh Temple in Joshimath. You can also experience this in river confluences like Rudraprayag, Nandaprayag, and Karnaprayag. You can visit all three Sangam sites and view the beautiful rivers meeting each other.
Participate in the Ganga Aarti and take holy baths at Har ki Pauri. Visit Rishikesh, explore Haridwar markets, and join devotees singing hymns for Maa Ganga. Experience the spiritual energy within Uttarakhand’s temples on a visit to these two dhams.
The Do Dham Yatra Package starts from Delhi. Our tour representative will pick you up from Delhi Airport/ Delhi Railway Station and drive to Haridwar. On your arrival in Haridwar, you will check into the pre-booked hotel and then take some rest and refreshments. Then visit Har ki Pauri and take the holy dip in the Ganga River. This is a ghat where you can bathe comfortably while sitting on the steps. Later in the evening, you can participate in the Ganga Aarti. The temple priests holding burning lamps and diyas and chanting hymns in praise of the River Ganga is a spectacular sight. The entire place is lit with thousands of lamps, and people join in the singing and chanting. The Ganga Aarti at Har ki Pauri is an experience that you should not miss at any chance. Then return to the hotel, have dinner, and stay overnight.
After breakfast, you can check out of Haridwar. We will now proceed to drive to Guptkashi/ Sitapur. This is a journey of around 7-8 hours. On the way, you can view the Tehri Dam. Check into the hotel at Guptkashi/ Sitapur on arrival. You will have the rest of the evening to do leisure activities and relaxation. Then have dinner in the hotel with an overnight stay.
After an early breakfast in the hotel, you will drive to Gaurikund. From Gaurikund, the trek to Kedarnath starts, which is a 16 km one-way trek. You can do the trek on foot, take pony rides, or take a palki. You must take medicines, snacks, toiletries, and clothes with you as this is an overnight stay in Kedarnath. The trek route goes up the mountain, and there are safety railings and stairs for climbing. The trek is one of the most adventurous treks in this Do Dham Yatra Package.
On reaching Kedarnath Dham, you will check into the hotel and then freshen up. Then visit Kedarnath Temple, which is one of the Jyotirlinga temples of Lord Shiva. Have darshan of the deity of the temple and do puja here. You will enjoy the views of the glaciers and snow-capped mountain ranges at Kedarnath. In the evening, visit nearby places like Meditation Caves, Bheem Shila, and Adi Shankaracharya Statue. Then return to the hotel in Kedarnath for an overnight stay.
Visit the Kedarath Temple in the early morning and offer prayers at the temple. Then trek down to Gaurikund and drive to Guptkashi. On the way you can visit Triyuginarayan Temple. This is an ancient temple of Lord Vishnu. After visiting the temple, check into the hotel in Guptkashi and visit the nearby temples. Shree Kashi Vishwanath Temple is a major temple here and people believe that Shiva married Parvati at this site. Ardhanarishwar Temple is another temple which is famous for its religious importance. Later in the evening have dinner with overnight stay.
Enjoy an early breakfast in the hotel and then check out of Guptkashi. Then drive to Badrinath Dham. On the way you can take short halts and admire the views of river confluences. These river confluences are part of the Panch Prayags of Uttarakand. These prayags are:
Rudraprayag: Confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers
Nandaprayag: Confluence of Alaknanda and Nandakini rivers
Karnaprayag: Confluence of Alaknanda and Pindar rivers
You can take a short halt at Joshimath on the way and visit Narsingh Temple. The temple is named after the incarnation of Lord Vishnu called Narsimha. Then continue driving towards Badrinath. After reaching Badrinath, visit the temple and participate in the aarti and puja. Badrinath Dham is the temple of Lord Badrinarayan. The temple is the holiest temple in India. You can explore the nearby market and do some shopping for puja items. Then return to the hotel and have dinner with an overnight stay.
Wake up early in the morning and have a holy bath in Taptkund, which is a natural hot water spring near Badrinath Temple. Then visit the temple and offer prayers and perform puja at the temple. Then visit nearby places like
Brahma Kapaal – where shraddha (death rituals) are done.
Tapt Kund – Natural thermal hot water spring where devotees bathe before visiting Badrinath Dham.
Narad Kund – This is the natural spring where the original deity of Badrinath Dham was found.
Other temples you can visit at Badrinath Dham are Mata Murty Temple, Urvashi Temple, Sheshnetra Temple, and Charanpaduka.
You can visit Mana Village, where there are several places to visit, like
Vyas Gufa – the natural cave where Ved Vyas composed the epic Mahabharata.
Bheem Pul – a huge rocky structure that forms a natural bridge over the Saraswati River. According to legends, the massive rock was believed to have been put there by Bheem, one of the Pandava brothers. The Saraswati River cascades down the bridge in a thunderous roar and is a visual delight to onlookers. On reaching Rudraprayag, check into the hotel and have an overnight stay.
In the morning visit Rudraprayag Sangam, where Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers meet. Then check out of Rudraprayag and drive to Rishikesh. Check into the hotel in Rishikesh and then proceed to do sightseeing in Rishikesh. This place is popularly called as the ‘Yoga Capital of the World’ due to the many Yoga institutes and studios. You can visit major places in Rishikesh like:
Laxman Jhula: The old suspension bridge and very famous monument in Rishikesh. It is said that Laxman built this bridge made of jute ropes in the Ramayana times.
Ram Jhula: Newly built bridge over the Ganges river in Rishikesh.
Beatles Ashram: The famous yogi and guru Maharishi Mahesh Yogi used to teach Yoga at this ashram and Beatles, the famous music band, came here to learn Yoga from him.
Triveni Ghat: Famous river ghat which is famous for the Ganga Aarti ceremony.
Parmarth Niketan Ashram: This is the largest ashram in Rishikesh and famous as a leaning center for meditation, Yogic practices, satsang and spiritual activities.
After this sightseeing in Rishikesh is done, you will return to the hotel and have dinner with overnight stay.
In the morning, check out of Rishikesh and drive to Delhi. We will drop you at Delhi Airport/ Delhi Railway Station, and you can start your return journey by flight/ train. We hope you enjoyed the Do Dham Yatra with us.
